10 Weeks

  • How far along?  10 weeks.
  • How big is baby? about an inch and a quarter long and weighing in at around .14 oz.  Baby is about the size of a prune!
  • Total weight gain: I think I'm already around 4-5 lbs, well according to my weigh in last Thursday it seems that is the place I'm at.
  • Maternity clothes? nope, but I have been shopping online to get ideas of what's out there now :)
  • Stretch marks? No new ones.  (I should mention that I have a few on my boobs from the boys)
  • Sleep: It's improving!  YAY!
  • Best moment this week:  I had my first appointment last Thursday and an u/s on Friday!  Baby is doing great!!!  Measuring (on Friday) between 9w 1d to 10w 4d, so my due date appears to be November 20th, just as I figured!  Baby's heart rate was great too, 174bpm :)  Little bean is looking good!
  • Miss Anything? this week was ok, I'm finally trying to really embrace that I'm pregnant!  It did make it feel more real since I seen the baby, but my symptoms are getting better, so it's making me a little nervous again.  We went out to dinner for my 30th birthday and I really wanted some good wine to accompany it, my water had to suffice.
  • Movement: nothing yet.  And I can't wait!
  • Food cravings:  guacamole.  I made a huge batch and ate it all while watching Revenge, I'm surprised I didn't get sick from the amount I ate!
  • Food aversions: coffee...wonderful.  And I really wanted pb&j the other day, and when I ate it, it made me sick, so I guess that's out for a while!
  • Gender: no clue yet!
  • Labor Signs: Not for quite some time!
  • Symptoms: they are getting better.  My boobs are still pretty sore, especially at night, or when I bump them on something.  Nausea has gotten better since my midwife told me to lay off the prenatals and DHA for a while and take 2 Flinstone chewables and it's been helping!  I'll try the prenatals again in 2nd tri.
  • Belly Button in or out? in!
  • Wedding rings on or off? On :) they have a little room to play, hoping the swelling stays under control!
  • Looking forward to: I have 2 appointments next week, Tuesday for a medical history and hospital intake with the nurse practitioner and then on Thursday with my ob who delivered Carter :) I also just got a phone call from the maternal fetal specialists to schedule my quad-screen scan and that's set up for May 7th, so I'll have a busy 2 weeks but I can't wait to see the babe again in 2 weeks and see how much they have grown!  Oh, and my hair appointment this afternoon...because being pampered is important!
  • Milestones/what's going on inside:  Vital organs are fully developed and starting to function, fingernails are starting to appear.  Baby is swallowing and kicking around in there now and has working arm joints!

and for fun...here's my baby bean 3.0!!!
