Short, sweet and to the point...7 weeks!

Just call miss Miss Cranky Pants. I am sick and miserable. Between the lack of sleep, nausea and HORRIBLE allergies, I should crawl into a cave and dwell there until I feel better. I am supposed to go to the Philly's game this evening with my husband and the boys, at 3am when I was laying awake trying to breath through my congested nose I was getting excited about sharing a great night out with the most important men in my life...and now I just want to leave work early and go straight to bed. I have a call into my OB's office to try and see what meds I can take for this...something has got to give.
* How far along?: 7 weeks
* Total weight gain: maybe a pound or so at this point
* How big is baby?: about the size of a blueberry now, measuring in at around a half an inch :)
* Maternity clothes?: nope, still have a bit to go before I break anything out!
* Stretch marks?: none
 * Sleep?: still dealing with the insomnia issues, although I got one full night of sleep this past week, so woo-hoo for that!
* Best moment this week?: that ONE night of sleep that I got!
* Movement?: nothing yet, I have a few weeks to go for that, but I can't wait!
* Food cravings?: I think I want something, like say a reuben sandwich, which I normally don't like, but I really, REALLY wanted one the other day, so I bought the stuff to make a reuben dip I found on pinterest (find & follow me here: ), and then I got so sick at the thought of eating it, I didn't make it. This has happened a few times this week with different things that I was craving.
* Labor signs?: not for a VERY long while...
* Belly button in or out?: inny!
* What I miss: sleeping through the night.
 * What I'm looking forward to: my first appointment, it's TOO FAR away! I'm trying to get it moved up, I'm getting anxious.
* Milestone: This week, the baby's eyelid folds are partially covering it's peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of the nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of my baby's brain are growing, and the liver is churning out red blood cells until baby's bone marrow forms and takes over this role. Baby also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in my baby's growing intestines is bulging into the umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from it's tiny body.

That's all for today...I hope I'm feeling better and can go to the game with the boys tonight! We really need a good family outing :)
