First Day of School...

My first baby started 4th grade today!  Next month, he turns 10 years old...TEN Y'ALL!!!   :'(  I was looking through pictures of him from when he was born through his first birthday and it made me all sappy, I can't believe how ten years can fly by in the blink of an eye.  I'm so proud of the little man he's becoming.  Sure, he drives me completely batty at times, but at the end of the day, he really is a good boy and I couldn't be more proud!


A few Niky updates:

• He's doing exceptional in football this year!  For real, my heart swelled and I hid tears behind giant sunglasses last week as I watched him score a touchdown. 

• He's such a great big brother.  Again, they fight like crazy, which blows my mind considering the age difference, but at night when I see Niky curled up on Carter's toddler bed next to him reading to him or watching a movie that Carter wants to watch, I couldn't be happier. 

• I can't wait to see how protective he becomes over his tiny baby sister, who he loves already.  Always putting his hands on my belly wanting to feel her move, talking about what we need to get for her...he's such a great big brother.

Seriously, a ten year old...I can't wrap my head around it, but I am so proud of who he is becoming.  I know Nick and I are doing a great job.
